The 2024 Len and Jacob Challenge and Fundraiser” is back on Sunday October 6th, 2024.
The challenge will feature our core team of athletes Brian Galea, Cortis Karl and Natalie Briffa Farrigia —who will run, swim, and run from Mosta to Ta’ Pinu in Gozo. This event presents both a major physical and logistical challenge. This year Brian will be pulling Len and Jacob in a Dinghy during the crossing from Malta to Gozo. We have successfully completed similar events three times before, each time improving our approach. Safety remains our top priority.
For those who are new to the page, Len and Jacob suffer from a rare, incurable disease (part of the zellweger spectrum) which affects their gross and fine motor skills. This impedes their coordination, movement and speech.
Our goal is to keep Raising Awareness and collect funds of between €30,000 and €35,000 for the Len and Jacob Wellness Fund. This amount will cover the boys’ yearly therapy costs, future home adaptations, and contingency for health-related travel expenses.
