Oncological Portraits – Photography by Elena Salvaterra

Oncological Portraits (“Ritratti Oncologici”) is a humanitarian project narrating the experience of cancer survivors through the photography.

Inspired by a personal story and developed with the Association “Noi Sempre Donne” of Como (based in Italy), Oncological Portraits aims to make people aware of the feelings associated with this disease, including failure, anger, depression but also joy to live and force to survive.

As a humanitarian project, Oncological Portraits is a non-profit initiative open to everyone feeling a sense of empathy for this condition that may affect any individual in her/is life.

This project is dedicated to non-profit efforts, and we welcome volunteer donations to help advance cancer research.
