The Citadel Cinema is situated in the centre of Victoria, housed in a nineteenth century townhouse a few meters up the road from Independence Square (the main square of Victoria commonly known as It-Tokk) leading to the Citadel.
This Cinema has been operating as Gozo’s main cinema for the last twenty-five years, entertaining the public with the latest British and American blockbuster movies. It is actually a complex of two very modern cinemas which conform well to the latest safety regulations. The seats in both cinemas are fire retardant and the halls are protected by special fire doors.
The cinemas, between them have a total capacity of 298 seats. They are easily reached by stairs or lifts. Clients with special needs can also reach the cinema halls without difficulty. The lift is wide enough to permit a wheelchair to enter. Also, on every floor there are restrooms.
If one comes by car, parking areas can be found close by. Up the hill close to the Citadel, there is a small parking area and near the bus terminus there is a free parking area with no time limit. One can also find parking bays within the area around the main square.
