Hgieri is a lovely, large, light and airy family home with lots of space for entertaining, both inside and out. Steps lead up to the attractive pool and terrace area with distant views out to the sea. The front door opens into a large hallway and continues into the huge open plan comfortable living room, fully equipped kitchen and diner with a large table seating up to 12. On the ground floor there is also a shower room.
Fabulous marble stairs lead up to the first floor and four bedrooms comprising three twins and a double with en suite bathroom and a shower room. A foldaway bed and/or cot could easily be accommodated. There is also a front terrace with lovely views over the fields and out to sea. Another staircase leads up to the second floor and a door gives access to the roof.
The house has fans and, air conditioning in the bedrooms, for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
Hgieri is located on the outskirts of the charming village of Ghasri, which has restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and a distinctive red domed church. A short distance away is the fabulous church of ta Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors include St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts of the Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.
