The Magro Food Village Free Tours
Book a 1 hour free of charge tours at The Magro Food Village. Once can witness the Magro processing plant where one gets an aerial view of the impressive processing plant in operation. In summer, you may also view the processing of fresh Gozitan tomatoes. Then view the Cheese-Making Centre where one gets an insight into the production of local ‘ġibniet’ (cheeselets) and irkotta in our state-of-the-art cheese-making facility. The tour ends at the Savina Artisan Centre where one can watch artisan food in the making and get to sample some of our delicacies too! Our artisan centre is filled with all sorts of craft food and gifts. A dedicated tour leader leads the group around the premises.
Tours are carried out between Monday and Friday, at 9.15am, 10.15am or 11.15am (May-September) & 10.15am or 11.15am (October-April). The minimum number of people per tour is 5. A gift token is given to all visitors.
