FESTIVE Rock and Pop at the ASTRA brings to a close Christmas events in Gozo with a blast.
From the producers of The Don Bosco Grand Concert, Opera vs Pop Under the Stars, Stage & Proms on the Sea, Dark Side over Gozo, Queen meets Coldplay, Not Just the Wall, From the Beatles to U2, The Gozo Youth Wind Band & Orchestra in collaboration with 7SPP, Festivals Malta, Arts Council Malta and the Cultural Heritage Directorate, are delighted to be back in the Teatru Astra with their latest production – FESTIVE Rock and Pop at the ASTRA.
This rock orchestral production will take place on Friday 6th January 2023 at 8PM in the Teatru Astra. The Orchestra under its musical director Mro Joseph Grech, will once again be joined on stage by Gozo’s finest the legendry CASH & Band, plus our guest singers SARAH BONNICI, KURT CASSAR, RACHEL FABRI & NEVILLE REFALO. Vocal backing will be provided by the 7SPP Singers. We must also mention and show our appreciation of the wonderful work he does on our scores, Mr. Daryl McKenzie, though resident in Australia, is always with us in spirit on the night.
As with all our concerts we love to create a party atmosphere. You are invited to join in with your favourite song, let the music move you. This concert, on Old Christmas Day as 6th January is sometimes called, marks the end of the festive season of Christmas. So take down the tree and decorations and come join us in the ASTRA as we close of the season in style.
